Saturday 24th September
We sailed back to Pulau Aur; the trip was uneventful which
means it was good. We dropped anchor at 1pm, had a nap and then Enrico went to
the beach with the girls.
Cara instead went with the dinghy across the channel to the
little village on a sensitive diplomatic mission: the last time we were here 9
days ago, we ordered some fruits and vegetables from the only shop (of which I
believe we are the only customers). They promised the order would be ready the next
day; however due to the alternator fault we left the same night, leaving our
order and unpaid bill behind. Anna has been feeling very guilty about it, so
Cara, armed with a Bahasa dictionary went back to the shop to explain our disappearance
and pay the bill if required. To
Anna’s relief the lady was very cool about it and didn’t even seem to have
noticed the incident.
